Planning & Environmental Manager, Birmingham, GBP65,000 (DOE) – We are looking for a Planning & Environmental Manager to join a growing Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist function supporting high–profile residential, commercial and infrastructure developments nationwide. JOB REF: 4346. THE ROLE * Lead the specialist statutory agreements function, ensuring the successful management, review and delivery of a wide range of development‑related legal agreements. * Work closely with planning professionals, developers, local authorities and legal teams to keep projects progressing efficiently while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and compliance. * Manage workloads and monitor progress across multiple live projects. * Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for junior team members. * Maintain accurate records and document schedules throughout each project. * Ensure robust file management procedures and compliance with quality standards. * Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and key stakeholders. * Support the wider Planning & Environmental team on a variety of development projects. SKILLS REQUIRED * Be an organised and proactive leader with experience managing statutory agreements and supporting complex development projects. * Have previous experience leading or supervising a professional team. * Have strong knowledge of statutory infrastructure agreements and development processes. * Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Have a keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work. * Have strong communication and relationship‑building skills. * Have commercial awareness and a client‑focused mindset. * Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
