You will play a key role in delivering ornithological consultancy services across a broad range of projects. Key Responsibilities- Designing and delivering a range of ornithological surveys, including vantage point, breeding, and wintering bird surveys
- Analysing survey data and producing high‑quality technical reports
- Leading ornithological input into EcIAs, EIAs, and HRAs
- Managing projects, including budgets, timelines, and client communication
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members
- Supporting business development activities, including tender preparation
- A degree in ecology or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in UK ornithological survey work and reporting
- Strong knowledge of bird legislation, policy, and guidance
- Proven ability to manage projects (Senior level) or lead projects and teams (Principal level)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM)
- Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Protected species survey licences
- GIS experience
