The Verdancy Group is building a UK-wide network of talented associate trainers and assessors to support the delivery of retrofit, low carbon construction, and energy efficiency programmes. If you’re a qualified professional with technical know-how and a passion for teaching or assessing others, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome experts from all relevant trades and disciplines, including but not limited to:
- insulation and airtightness installation
- carpentry and joinery
- heat pump installation
- ventilation and MVHR systems
- building fabric repair
- airtightness testing
- renewable energy systems
- fenestration and glazing
- domestic and non-domestic energy assessment
- retrofit coordination and advice
- Passive House construction techniques
- thermal bridging mitigation
- building services engineering
- roofing and cladding

- Retrofit roles under PAS 2035 (Coordinator, Assessor, Designer)
- Fabric-first measures, including internal/external wall insulation and airtightness
- Low-carbon heating and ventilation systems
- Energy efficiency and renewables (e.g. solar PV, heat pumps)
- Working with learners across trades, age groups, and experience levels
You’ll need:
- A recognised teaching or assessor qualification (e.g. A1, L&D9DI, PTLLS or equivalent) – or a willingness to work towards it
- Industry competence in your area of delivery
- A commitment to learner success and quality delivery
- Flexibility to support remote, hybrid, or in-person programmes depending on need
