We are supporting a rapidly growing manufacturing business at their Ely site in the creation of a brand new HSE Manager role. This is a key appointment for the site, offering the chance to take ownership of health, safety and environmental strategy and play a central part in the company's continued growth journey.
They are looking for someone with energy, ideas and the passion to develop and evolve HSE standards, not just keep them ticking over. You will lead all site HSE programmes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance while influencing at all levels of the business.
This role would suit someone ready to step into their first management position, who is looking for autonomy but also support and the platform to grow and make their mark.
Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Leading incident investigations, risk assessments, and promote continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing environmental reporting, waste, energy use, and liaise with external regulators
- Delivering HS&E training to staff and promote a positive safety culture across the site
The successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:
- Proven experience in health, safety and environmental management within manufacturing
- A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and influence others
