Description

The Waste and Environmental Manager will:

  • Manage the daily operations of the waste centre to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee waste processing, storage, and transportation to meet operational targets.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed across the site.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
  • Implement and maintain environmental and sustainability practices.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management.
  • Coordinate with external partners and regulatory bodies as required.

Profile

A successful Waste and Environmental Manager should have:

  • Experience in waste management in the manufacturing and production industry.
  • Knowledge of waste management processes and environmental regulations.
  • An open-minded and forward-thinking approach.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational targets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to health and safety best practices.
  • NEBOSH and WAMITAB qualifications.
  • Knowledge of COMAH regulations.
  • Waste management experience within a battery/fuel cell environment.

Job Offer
