About Isembard
Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the UK, US, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.
The role
Our customers are engineers in aerospace, defence, energy and robotics who need precision parts made well and delivered on time. Sales Representatives turn their interest into orders. You will manage opportunities from first conversation to purchase order, working with business development colleagues who open doors and with factory teams who check what we can make and when.
What you'll do
- Manage a pipeline of prospective and new customers in our target sectors.
- Lead commercial conversations with engineering and procurement teams.
- Work with factory and quoting teams to confirm manufacturability, lead time and price before committing.
- Prepare proposals and support contract negotiation.
- Keep CRM records and forecasts accurate.
- Feed customer requirements back to production so nothing is promised that the floor cannot deliver.
- Hand won accounts over cleanly so delivery starts well.
What we're looking for
- A track record in B2B sales, ideally selling technical or manufactured products.
- Technical literacy: comfortable discussing drawings, tolerances, materials and lead times, or able to learn quickly.
- Structured pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and good judgement in difficult conversations.
- High standards, low ego and a bias towards action.
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing, machining, aerospace or defence.
- An engineering background.
- Selling to engineering or procurement teams at large industrial companies.
Why Isembard
- Frontline exposure to aerospace and defence manufacturing programmes.
- Work directly with machinists, engineers and factory leaders.
- Join an early-stage commercial team where strong performers can take on more scope quickly.
Location: On-site at our Southwark factory in London, with travel to customers.
