ISEB is looking for a Commercial Projects Manager to support the successful delivery of projects across ISEB’s Commercial team, providing practical project management and hands-on delivery support to help turn plans and ideas into completed outcomes.
This is a remote 12-month fixed-term contract. Travel to London, Hampshire and other UK locations will be required from time to time.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the role will support a varied range of projects including the development and launch of new qualifications, assessments and services, website and digital developments, customer and market research, data projects and business improvements.
This is a hands-on role combining project coordination with practical delivery. The Commercial Projects Manager will develop and maintain clear project plans, keep activities moving and help colleagues manage deadlines and dependencies, while also actively contributing to project work. This could include undertaking research, gathering and inputting data, liaising with customers, consultants and suppliers, supporting copy and content development, coordinating surveys and pilots, testing digital developments and preparing project materials and documentation.
The role will provide additional capacity and practical support across the Commercial team, helping colleagues deliver projects effectively alongside their day-to-day responsibilities.
About the role
The Commercial Projects Manager role will cover the following areas:
- Project management and delivery
- Product development and launch projects
- Digital, data and business improvement projects
- Research, customer insight and project support
Salary: Up to £35k per annum, dependent on experience.
About you
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Experience coordinating or managing projects and delivering work to agreed deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several activities at the same time.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake both project coordination and delivery tasks.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate project and customer-facing materials.
- Strong research skills and confidence gathering, organising and summarising information.
- Good data and digital skills, including confidence working with spreadsheets, databases and online content management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and external contributors.
- Confidence communicating with customers and external stakeholders by email, telephone and online meetings.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to getting things done.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and recognise when issues need to be escalated.
Experience within an awarding organisation or assessment provider would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of assessment delivery, publishing or the independent schools sector.
This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in delivering an exciting programme of projects that will shape the future of ISEB and the products and services used by schools across the UK and internationally. You’ll work across a varied mix of product development, launches, digital developments, customer research and business improvement projects, working with colleagues across ISEB as well as schools, consultants, developers and other partners.
If you’re highly organised, practical and proactive, enjoy getting stuck into the detail as well as keeping sight of the bigger picture, and get satisfaction from helping people turn ideas and plans into delivered outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
