An exciting role has arisen for a part time Private PA to a principal and his family from their home office (attached to the family home) in North London (NW3). You will be providing support across both the principal's personal and boutique business interests as well as overseeing all of the domestic household admin support for the wider family.
As well as managing the private household, you will also be responsible for liaising with lawyers, accountants, and property agents as the principal owns two properties, in addition to the private family home. As PA, you will be responsible for providing high level PA support and ensuring all the documentation for the businesses and properties is filed correctly, as well as overseeing any maintenance or renovation projects. You will also liaise with the accountants in providing information relating to annual VAT returns and will need to learn to use Xero (for bookkeeping).
This is a fantastic role for an experienced PA who is looking to work four days a week in a part time capacity. The family have had a long serving PA who has supported them across their various interests for several years but she is moving away from London, so it is a great role to be taking on.
Duties will include:
- Day to day administration of both household matters and those relating to two small businesses
- Overseeing two other London rental properties (NW11) to include maintaining expenses for each and overseeing any renovation projects
- Liaising with accountants, estate agents, and lawyers
- Helping compile documents for annual VAT returns for both businesses - using Xero
- Overseeing paper filing and e-filing to ensure all documents are stored efficiently
- Personal finance management including arranging direct debits, logging, and processing invoices for various properties, and tracking expenses and managing financial records for the household
- Coordinating with vendors and service providers for household maintenance, repairs, and other needs
- Maintaining records relating to household purchases, car documents, utilities
- Filing and e-filing of all household and business documents
- Ad hoc errands – shopping, collections, deliveries etc
Skills:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a PA in a household or within a small business
- A resourceful PA who knows how to find information and ask the right questions
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communicator and someone who maintains confidentiality, accuracy, honesty, and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel and Xero (useful)
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing environments, and maintain discretion on confidential matters
- Happy to drive (on occasion) to visit the two other properties
- Driver – ideally with your own car and clean UK driving license (may not be essential)
