ISDA is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented HR Intern to join the Human Resources team over the summer period. This opportunity is aimed at an HR graduate who has completed, or is currently studying towards, a CIPD qualification. The role offers hands‑on experience within a professional, regulated and international organisation.
The HR Intern will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support across the employee lifecycle, from induction through to exit. The role offers exposure to core HR processes, HR systems, recruitment activity, employee engagement initiatives and reward‑related administration. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced HR professionals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, from induction through to exit interviews
- Supporting recruitment activities, including drafting job advertisements, coordinating applications, scheduling interviews and maintaining recruitment trackers
- Supporting onboarding processes, including preparation of documentation and coordination of inductions
- Support the team with HR related reports, presentations and standard HR documentation, including letters, reviews and other routine correspondence
- Maintain and update employee information on HR systems, databases and filing systems, ensuring a high level of accuracy, data integrity and confidentiality
- Providing administrative support for pay, reward and benchmarking activities, including data collation, spreadsheet preparation and document management, under the guidance of senior HR colleagues
- Assisting in the coordination of training sessions and staff engagement initiatives
- Responding to routine HR queries in a professional and timely manner, escalating appropriately where required
- Contributing to ongoing HR projects and supporting process improvements
- Assisting with staff engagement and people‑focused activities as required
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives, including research, data analysis
- Collaborate with the HR team on special and ongoing duties such as drafting monthly D&I communications
Skills, Qualifications And Experience
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards a CIPD qualification
- Strong interest in Human Resources and a desire to learn and grow in the field
- Highly detail‑oriented and well organized, with strong time management skills
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, with excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive, reliable and eager to learn within a professional working environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
