Baldwin Boxall is looking for an individual to join our growing research and development team to work on their industry leading life safety products. Baldwin Boxall is an independent, highly successful business based in Crowborough, East Sussex, who designs, manufactures and markets Voice Alarm and Emergency Voice Communication equipment. Systems are installed in varying sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, transport and public service facilities which are distributed worldwide.
The Role: The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for firmware development for embedded systems as part of a team bringing industry changing new life safety products to market.
The Person: We are looking for a self-motivated person who has great attention to detail, extensive technical skills who can consistently produce high-quality work. They will be able to work independently but also as part of a team.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in the C programming language targeting embedded systems
- Experience of a wide range of microcontrollers and their peripherals
- Experience of a wide range of communication protocols
- Experience of a wide range of Integrated Development Environments and board support packages
The successful candidate will have:
- 10 Years + industry experience working in embedded development
- A highly driven individual who has the capabilities to work on their own initiative
- Track record of successful firmware development projects
- Good communication and organisational abilities
