Supply Chain Assistant - The Role:As Supply Chain Assistant, you will support the Supply Chain Manager to deliver an effective end‑to‑end supply chain function, working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners.
- Raising and tracking and expediting multi‑currency purchase orders with multiple suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and providing detailed shipping updates to ensure the business has the right products at the right time.
- Supporting supplier management activities, contributing to KPIs such as OTIF and updating systems with performance data.
- Assisting with inventory management, ensuring stock levels are accurate and aligned with demand.
- Maintaining stock system data to support effective planning and forecasting.
- Collaborating with operations, finance, and logistics teams to support wider business goals.
- Providing accurate shipping information and tracking inbound deliveries.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
£30,000 - £35,000pa + 25 days holiday & bank holidays, pension, etc
Hours:Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm
Location:Office based
Supply Chain Assistant - About You:- You’ll possess supply chain experience, be a confident communicator with a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in supply chain operations.
- You’ll enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and will naturally look for ways to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Strong planning and data analysis skills as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
- Strong IT and analytical skills, knowledge of Sage 200 and/or Netstock is desirable.
- You are likely to be studying towards CIPS or have a keen interest in doing so.
