We are excited to be launching SWIM@LGST and are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and passionate Level 2 Swimming Teachers to join our growing team. Our swim school is committed to delivering high-quality swimming lessons in a supportive and welcoming environment. With smaller class sizes, teachers can focus on providing excellent instruction, building water confidence and helping every swimmer achieve their full potential.
Lessons take place in our heated 25-metre, six-lane swimming pool, supported by modern wet-side changing facilities and accessible changing rooms. As a Swimming Teacher at SWIM@LGST, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, safe and effective lessons to swimmers of varying ages and abilities. You will play a key role in developing swimmers' technique, confidence and enjoyment of the water while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and customer care.
Applicants must hold a recognised Swim England/SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent). A valid First Aid or lifesaving qualification is desirable. Successful candidates will be confident, patient and engaging, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to motivate swimmers, build positive relationships with parents and carers, and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team. Previous experience teaching swimming lessons is essential.
Lessons will be running as follows:
- Monday 4.30pm - 6.30pm
- Tuesday 4.30pm - 6.30pm
- Thursday 5.30pm - 6.30pm
- Friday 5.30pm - 6.30pm
- Saturdays 8.30am - 2.00pm (then 1-1s, stroke clinics and rookie lifeguard)
- Sundays 8.30am-2.00pm (then community splash 2.30pm - 3.30pm)
There will be 6 classes in each 30 min lesson. Whether you are an experienced swim professional or looking to develop your career in aquatic education, we would love to hear from you.
