City of London School has an exciting new opportunity for a hardworking, team player to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The purpose of the post will be to assist the Facilities team in providing support to the life of the school in its many non-teaching aspects. There will be a particular emphasis on the maintenance and security of the school buildings and other assets to ensure the health and safety and well-being needs are met for all pupils, staff and visitors.

The post will involve carrying out all duties including both school keeping and maintenance responsibilities, these roles will be interchangeable depending on the school's needs. A good team working culture is encouraged especially during busy periods and periods of sickness, leave or extended absence. It is important that all facilities staff are familiar with all aspects of the facilities assistant's role to enable staff to cover different shift patterns and responsibilities of both the maintenance and school keeping aspect of the role.

CLS was named by the Sunday Times as London Independent Secondary School of the Year 2020, and occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Paul's Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern.
