We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Director of Music to lead Badminton’s flourishing Music department. Main responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for leading and managing the Music Department, and for the development of music throughout the school
- Ensure Music is taught in an interesting and challenging manner, enabling each pupil to realise her potential
- Enable a ‘music for all’ mentality and work closely with colleagues, including Pastoral Heads and SEND staff to facilitate this
- Ensure a full, varied and stimulating extra-curricular timetable
- Develop appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work
- Contribute to the teaching of the department as set out in the timetable
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
- Strong practical musician with high standard of piano expertise and the ability to offer several musical specialisms
- Able to conduct and lead instrumental ensembles and choirs to a high standard
- Excellent team leader with the ability to motivate others and delegate effectively
- Excellent subject knowledge
