Wycombe Abbey seeks a dedicated and organised Boarding House Manager (Upper Sixth) to play a central role in the pastoral care and day‑to‑day running of Clarence House, our Upper Sixth boarding environment. This pivotal role supports pupils during their final year at School, helping to create a well‑structured, supportive and welcoming environment as they prepare for life beyond Wycombe Abbey.
Reports to: Housemistress (Clarence).
Contract: This is a part‑time, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.
Hours of Work: 8.00am – 4.15pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am – 12.00pm Saturday during term time, plus 10 additional days during School holidays as agreed with the Housemistress (Clarence).
Holiday: Included within School holiday periods, in line with the term‑time nature of the role.
Responsibilities
- Support the pastoral and administrative functions of the House.
- Manage key aspects of the day‑to‑day running of Clarence, including pupil records, absences, logistics and communication.
- Support pupils’ wellbeing and liaise with staff, parents and external providers as required.
- Play a crucial role in creating a well‑structured, supportive and welcoming environment for Upper Sixth pupils.
