Your day-to-day:

  • Medication
  • Allocation of duties
  • Demonstrating best practice
  • Support both management and team members in the day‑to‑day running of the service
  • Oversee the staff team and ensure service users are supported in a way that best meets their needs and wishes
  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
  • Support service users to access the community, attend work, college, hobbies and activities, days out and holidays
  • Support the service users to grow, develop and learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking and cleaning

You are:

  • An experienced Support Worker or Acting Team Leader ready to step up to a new challenge
  • Genuinely driven to make a difference in people’s lives
  • Confident, assertive and ambitious for yourself, service users and the organisation
  • An excellent communicator and good team player
  • Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied environment
  • Able to empower and support service‑user independence
