We are looking for a passionate and driven junior engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for a recent Computer Science graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and modern cloud-native technologies. As a Junior Engineer, you will work alongside experienced DevOps and Platform Engineers to support, develop, and improve the core infrastructure that powers our trading applications and research pipelines. You will gain exposure to high-performance compute systems, CI/CD workflows, observability tools, and scalable architecture practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and enhance infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for provisioning and managing Linux servers with tools such as Ansible, Packer, and Terraform.
  • Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate workflows and streamline deployments.
  • Assist with monitoring, logging, and incident response for systems and services.
  • Contribute to the documentation of systems, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and optimise data centre operations, addressing issues related to performance and hardware failures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Eagerness to learn infrastructure technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
