The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our supported living service. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a team of support workers, ensuring excellent care delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of support staff
- Ensure the delivery of person‑centred care tailored to individual needs
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and daily documentation
- Promote independence, choice, and inclusion for service users
- Act as a point of contact for families, professionals, and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies
- Participate in staff training, recruitment, and performance management
- Assist in rota planning and service coordination
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supported living or social care setting
- Proven experience in a leadership or senior support role
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) – essential
- NVQ Level 5 (or willingness to work towards) – desirable
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead by example and inspire a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
