Responsibilities

  • Complete functional behavioural assessments for individuals with behaviours that challenge
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
  • Train and support staff in understanding and applying behavioural strategies
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to promote trauma-informed, least-restrictive practice
  • Provide clinical input to risk assessments, care plans, and crisis prevention strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, adapting interventions where necessary
  • Support referral assessments and contribute to funding/clinical justifications

Person Specification

Experience

  • Working towards or holding a PBS qualification
  • Experience in forensic settings or community mental health

Essential

  • A recognised degree in Psychology (minimum 2:1)
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, mental health needs, or learning disabilities
  • A strong understanding of PBS and person-centred planning
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple sites
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle (required)
