The Role:

As Head Waiter/Waitress at Isabel Mayfair, you will have the passion for outstanding guest service. Specifically, responsible for performing tasks to the highest standards from the moment a guest enters to the moment they leave ensuring a memorable experience. Taking responsibility in leading a section while managing commis waiters to ensure a smooth service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of menu and cocktail/wine list
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately with an explanation of each dish for the guest.
  • Act as point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
  • Assist the team with table setting placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins.
  • Explain the dishes to the guest with a knowledgeable and in a professional manner.
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • WSET Level 2 award in wines (desirable)
  • A natural sense of hospitality and an eye for detail
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Previous luxury hospitality experience is a bonus but not essential
  • Passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and develop
