We are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us on the weekends in our Welwyn Garden City Shops. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in one of our shops, we’d love to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.

Schedule

  • We ask you to commit to at least one regular half-day weekly session.
  • Session times are:
  • Saturday AM: 9am to 1pm
  • Saturday PM: 1pm to 5pm
  • Sunday AM: 10am-1pm
  • Sunday PM: 1pm to 4pm

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing the highest standard of service to customers
  • Keeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their best
  • Operating tills and taking payments
  • Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followed
  • Contributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy
  • Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
  • Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop
  • Raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers
  • Promoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health
