We are looking for Volunteer Retail Assistants to assistus on weekdaysand weekends in our Haldens Shop. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in our shops, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.

We ask you to commit to at least one regular half-day weekly session and session timesare:

AM: 9am - 1pm

PM: 1pm to 5pm

Sunday shifts are 10am - 1pm and 1pm - 4pm.

We are looking for volunteers to assist us on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Additionally, all day Saturday andSunday.

Under the leadership of your Shop Manager, you will be assisting with:

  • Providing the highest standard of service to customers
  • Keeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their best
  • Operating tills and taking payments
  • Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followed
  • Contributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy
  • Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
  • Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop
  • Raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers
  • Promoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy

Am I eligible to volunteer?

We ask that our volunteers are:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Live within an easycommute to the area
  • Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week
