Join to apply for the Volunteer Wednesday Retail Assistant role at Isabel Hospice. We are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us on Wednesdays in our Galleria Shop. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in our shop, we’d love to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice. We ask you to commit to at least one regular half‑day weekly session. We have the following sessions available:
- AM: 9am – 1pm
- PM: 1pm – 5pm
Please note that our Galleria Shop Managers are looking for volunteers who are able to commit long‑term.
Responsibilities- Providing the highest standard of service to customers
- Keeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their best
- Operating tills and taking payments
- Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followed
- Contributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy
- Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
- Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop
- Raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers
- Promoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy
- Enjoy working in a team environment
