Overview
We are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us in our Cheshunt Shop on weekdays and weekends. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in one of our shops, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.
As a Retail Assistant, you will support and assist the team in maximising the shop's income by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked and properly merchandised, and customers are served efficiently.
We ask you to commit to a regular half-day Saturday session and session times are:
AM: 9am - 1pm
PM: 1pm to 5pm
Sunday session times are 10am - 1pm and 1pm - 4pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest standard of service to customers
- Keep the shop fully stocked and ensure items are displayed to show them at their best
- Operate tills and take payments
- Ensure stock and cash security procedures are always followed
- Contribute to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy
- Provide support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
- Promote the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop
- Raise awareness of Gift Aid to our customers
- Promote and apply the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy

Am I eligible to volunteer?
We ask that our volunteers are:
- At least 18 years old
- Live within an easycommute to the area
- Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week

All appointments are at the discretion of the management team and are subject to a one-month trial period for both parties.
