We’re working with a specialist electronics manufacturing and assembly business based in Dundee, supporting customers across a range of industries with repair, refurbishment, and low-volume production. They are looking to add a Project Engineer to their team, someone with a strong electronics and electrical background who enjoys getting hands-on with real-world technical challenges. This is a role where curiosity and problem-solving matter just as much as experience.
This position sits between engineering, production, and customer requirements. You’ll be responsible for assessing electronic assemblies, understanding faults at component level, and helping define the most effective route to repair or improvement. In many cases, this will involve reverse engineering legacy or unsupported products, identifying how they function, and determining what needs to be fixed or replaced. It’s a varied role that combines investigation, technical understanding, and practical problem-solving.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll be reviewing electronic and electrical assemblies to understand faults and failure points, working down to component level where required.
