Our client is going through a sustained period of growth and with several recent significant business wins they are looking for an experienced quality control (QC) inspector/co-ordinator. While you’ll also support stores, packing, and shipping, the main focus of this role is ensuring that every component meets exacting engineering standards. It is a fantastic opportunity as it provides variety and main responsibilities include:

  • QC inspection (core focus): Inspect internally and externally produced components against drawings/specs using GD&T and metrology tools.
  • Reporting: Maintain clear and accurate inspection records, NCR registers, calibrations, and related documentation.
  • Continuous improvement: Support quality initiatives, suggest improvements, and help drive best practice across production.
  • Supportive tasks (training provided): Book in, locate, and manage stock using ERP/MRP. Prepare components for road/air/sea freight and complete shipping documentation. Follow safe manual-handling and 5S practices to maintain an organised shopfloor.

You will have a background in mechanical engineering and strong hands-on QC inspection background with engineered components. You will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles. This is a great opportunity to become the quality champion in a collaborative engineering environment.
