A well-established engineering business is looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex mechanical engineering projects within a specialist industrial environment. This is a varied senior engineering role combining project delivery, technical problem solving, customer interaction and engineering support across bespoke engineered systems and equipment. The position would suit an experienced Mechanical or Project Engineer who enjoys working on complex products, solving engineering challenges and collaborating across design, manufacturing and operations teams.
The Role
- Support the delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Act as a key technical contact across multiple projects and customers
- Produce and review engineering calculations, technical documentation and reports
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
- Identify and resolve technical and engineering challenges during project execution
- Support project meetings and provide clear technical communication internally and externally
- Assist with procedures, proposals and engineering documentation
- Maintain accurate engineering records and support continuous improvement activities
About You
You could come from a range of engineering sectors including heavy engineering, industrial equipment, mechanical systems, energy, manufacturing, subsea, rotating equipment, process industries or other complex engineering environments. You will likely have:
- A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience within a project engineering, mechanical engineering or technical delivery role
- Strong understanding of engineering calculations and mechanical systems
- Experience using 3D CAD software
- Ideally some exposure to analysis or FEA tools
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- The ability to manage multiple technical activities and priorities
