Our client manufactures capital equipment for the oil and gas and renewable sectors. Due to the successful development of new products, they have secured key contracts for the business and are keen to hire an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide an engineering support service within their engineering department and an engineering consultancy service to their customers. The business has grown considerably over the last few months, and you will be joining an experienced and highly motivated team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of equipment by hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Analysis using FEA and fatigue life assessments
  • Complete results and reports following analysis in a timely manner
  • Actively progress and manage assigned tasks from concept to completion
  • Where appropriate, report progress to clients along with documentation of work
  • Preparation of quotations for clients
  • Monitoring of time and costs throughout the duration of each assigned task
  • Checking and approval of drawings, documents, reports and calculations to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Actively take part in design reviews
  • Provide guidance, direction and supervision to engineering staff
