We’re partnering with a well-established Scottish manufacturer looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to drive a positive safety culture and environmental excellence across its operations. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to grow into a broader HSEQ leadership role, with support to take ownership of Quality systems over time. This is a great fit for an experienced HSE professional who wants to play a strategic role in a multi-site business while building on their existing skill set. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing real change on the ground — with the autonomy to shape how things are done.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead on all HSE policy, procedure and compliance activities in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Champion a culture of safety across departments through active engagement, risk assessments, training, and behavioural initiatives
  • Conduct audits and ensure robust investigation of incidents and near misses, with clear actions and root cause analysis
  • Drive environmental best practices and lead reporting on sustainability and carbon performance
  • Work alongside department leads to integrate HSE into daily routines
  • For the right candidate, support and develop Quality practices aligned to ISO 9001, with scope to evolve into full HSEQ leadership

About You:

  • NEBOSH-qualified with a solid background in HSE management (ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting)
  • Experience working within ISO-accredited environments
  • A confident communicator able to influence, mentor and engage across all levels
  • Comfortable leading change and implementing practical improvements
  • An interest or experience in quality management is a plus – but not essential
  • Able to travel to other sites as required
