Due to continued investment and new product development, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years' commercial design experience who enjoys developing engineered products from concept through to manufacture.
The Role
Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll be involved in the design and development of precision engineered mechanical components and assemblies, supporting both new product development and improvements to existing products.
Responsibilities include
- Designing mechanical components and assemblies from concept through detailed manufacture.
- Producing 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
- Developing practical engineering solutions that balance performance, manufacturability, quality and cost.
- Working closely with manufacturing, production and customers to understand technical requirements.
- Supporting product development, testing and continuous improvement activities.
- Participating in design reviews and engineering problem-solving.
About You
Ideally you'll have experience of
- Mechanical product design using 3D CAD.
- Designing precision machined components and assemblies.
- Developing designs from first principles rather than simply modifying existing products.
- Design for manufacture and assembly.
