- Payrate: $25.00 – $30.00/hour based on experience
Overview
Our customer is looking for someone who will be responsible for the creation of all detailed custom wooden door orders. Custom jamb work and rework will be required with the use of a variety of Machines including a custom CNC Jamb machine, Shapers, Half lap and Arch forms will be required. As experts in your area(s) they are at times, responsible for cross training and new hire training. Strong attention to detail is essential for success as well as the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
Job Responsibilities
- Position and secure working pieces on machine, measuring instruments and other tools to operate machine efficiently and safely to perform molding operations from start to finish.
- Responsible for the creation of all detailed custom orders. Custom jamb work and rework.
- Inspect product for defects and work closely with co-workers and quality team members to identify root-causes and corrective actions to maintain Masonite quality standards.
- Operate planers and gang rip saws.
- Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring manufacturing specifications are achieved.
- Communicate professionally and effectively to support product flow through plant.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Preferably 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing setting
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical diploma considered an asset
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to lift to 50lbs and on occasion push/pull 100lbs.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills
- Knowledge of architectural specifications and wood products.
- Knowledge of door construction, stile and rail, frames, and specialty flush door.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine programming parameters.
- Perform machine adjustment calculations.
