Our client in the UK is looking for a dynamic Social Media Marketer to join their team. They are a fast-moving business with 15 retail outlets across the UK, bringing the taste of South Africa to the UK through flavour, heritage, and world-class service.
Responsibilities:
- Communication: Responsible for responding promptly to all communications (Slack, Email, etc.) during working hours, and for maintaining reasonable responsiveness via WhatsApp when urgent matters arise.
- Social Media Marketing: Responsible for managing and engaging with all social media accounts.
- Marketing Campaigns: Responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns under the supervision of the ecommerce manager. Campaigns may include Ads, Giveaways, Influencers, Collaborations, Promotions, etc.
- In-Store Content: Responsible for producing limited in-store content.
- Visuals: Responsible for producing visuals requested by office staff or for the benefit of the company’s social media channels, including Posts, reels, videos, collaborations, promotional content, and website banners.
- Google My Business: Responsible for maintaining all Google My Business profiles.
- Email Newsletter: Responsible for creating content that drives engagement and conversions.
- Customer Feedback: Responsible for assisting with urgent customer disputes in the rare instance that the Customer Service Manager is unavailable or requires support.
- Website: Responsible for implementing approved edits or additions to the website.
- Supporting and reporting to the E-commerce Manager.
Experience required:
- Successful coordination of marketing campaigns
- Email marketing experience (Klaviyo / Mailchimp)
- AI experience (not as important, but should have a forward-thinking mindset)
- Google Ads (B2C) (nice to have)
- Strong design presence
- Preferably experience in the food niche (it helps in creating visual content)
- Well-versed in the entire suite of social channels, with a focus on Meta & TikTok
- Good project management skills (can take ownership of deadlines and plan accordingly)
