Mechanical Project Manager – Central London

Irwin Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established M&E contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Cat A and Cat B commercial fit-out projects across Central London.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to join their established delivery team.

They are also open to considering an ambitious Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Construction Manager or Assistant Project Manager who has strong commercial fit-out experience and is ready to step up into a Project Manager position.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of mechanical packages across fast-paced commercial fit-out projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Projects will include high-end office refurbishments, commercial workplace fit-outs and Cat A and Cat B developments throughout Central London.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitor project programmes, quality, health and safety and commercial performance.
• Attend client, design and progress meetings.
• Work closely with design, commercial and construction teams.
• Manage procurement of mechanical materials and specialist subcontractors.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Candidate Requirements
• Experience delivering mechanical building services packages.
• A background within Cat A and Cat B commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage subcontractors and work effectively within a project team.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
