Overview
We’re a national law firm with a local reach. Our Tax, Trust & Compliance team deals with a wide range of work for its high net worth and global UK clients. As part of a dynamic law firm, we work closely with our lawyer colleagues, helping the firm’s clients with their tax compliance. We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Trust Accounts Assistant within our Tax, Trusts and Compliance team based in our Chichester office. Working within a large but friendly team, your role will be to provide administrative support to the department whilst also being an excellent opportunity to learn from the best.
In your role as Trust Accounts Assistant, you will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work to the highest standards to ensure Irwin Mitchell’s client care remains second-to-none. You will contribute to this by providing cost-effective fee earning, accounting and taxation work. In a fast-paced, busy office environment, you will work to achieve agreed targets with regards to fee earning as well as the recording of chargeable and non chargeable time. You will liaise effectively with your team and the wider business to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner and that our clients are kept informed at all stages.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Tax, Trusts and Compliance department.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail while maintaining high standards of client care.
- Assist with fee earning, accounting and taxation tasks in a cost-efficient manner.
- Record chargeable and non-chargeable time and work to agreed targets.
- Liaise with team members and the wider business to keep clients informed at all stages.
- Support professional development and learning within a professional legal environment.
