Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

Every year, thousands of people are injured in accidents or are taken seriously ill while abroad.

We help clients pursue compensation claims following accidents, injuries or illness sustained whilst travelling or working abroad.

Our International Serious Injury Team in Manchester deals exclusively with serious injury claims with the added complexity of cross-border litigation.

We are seeking a talented Solicitor (approximately 2–6 years' PQE) to join our highly regarded International Serious Injury team in Manchester.

The role involves

  • Taking instructions from clients and providing clear, practical legal advice;
  • Managing and progressing high-value, complex international injury claims;
  • Running your own caseload of matters;
  • Working collaboratively on group actions and multi-claimant cases;
  • Meeting time recording and fee income targets;
  • Attending and contributing to team and practice area meetings;
  • Keeping up to date with developments in relevant law and practice.

The role operates on a hybrid basis with a minimum of two office days per week, including at least one day in the Manchester office.

About You

  • Approximately 2–6 years' PQE, with open to applicants outside this range if they can demonstrate the required skills and experience;
  • Strong experience in Serious Injury work;
  • Proven track record in multi-track Serious Injury work (from a Claimant or Defendant perspective).
  • Experience in travel litigation/cross-border claims is highly desirable but not essential;
  • Experience handling complex and/or high-value claims;
  • Excellent client care skills, with empathy and a compassionate approach;
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented mindset;
  • Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness.
