The Northern Real Estate transactions team, based in our Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield offices, undertakes a broad range of work including development, investment, landlord and tenant, portfolio management and property financing across all sectors within the real estate sector.
The award winning team have recently been working on many notable projects including;
- Securing a panel appointment for a PLC housebuilder. To date, we have advised on numerous acquisitions across the North of the country for residential development which have included the acquisition of a site in North Lincolnshire which will see the development of over 900 homes and public open space along with a bulk disposal to a PRS provider (a wholly owned subsidiary of a major bank).
- Advising a Developer on the acquisition of a site at Kirkstall, Leeds from Tesco Stores and Leeds City Council which will see the development of 263 new homes, together with all associated funding documentation, planning and disposals of the constructed units to Casa by Moda and a registered provider
- Advising a listed Singaporean investor on its acquisition, funding and subsequent disposal of various student accommodation assets
- Advising the Developer on the acquisition of a 200 acre former colliery, one of the largest regeneration projects of its kind in the UK and advising on the ongoing development of distribution warehousing
- Advising the Developer in the acquisition and redevelopment of The Chocolate Works, York (former Terry’s headquarters and production plant).
- Advised a Developer on the acquisition, development, forward funding of Various projects to deliver 1,400,000 sq ft of logistics and industrial space across 168 acres of land with 2,500,000 sq ft of development either contracted or under development.
- Advising various Developers on partnership, development and joint venture agreements with landowners including Local authorities, colleges and universities.
Your Role
The successful candidate will manage a number of real estate transactions which may vary from sales purchases to developments and a number of high-profile commercial deals right from the start, working with well- established clients.
We\’re looking for a Solicitor who is passionate about their work and has had exposure to a number of high-quality real estate transactions. Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualified lawyer with 1 – 5 years\’ experience.
- The ability to cohesively work as part of a team.
- Demonstratable technical experience gained within Commercial Property, specifically, across development transactions.
- The ability to manage caseloads whilst maintaining attention to detail and a seamless service.
- A clear enthusiasm for this area of law, and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for your clients.
- 25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays – You can ‘buy’ up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.
