Overview
As an Associate in the Southern Real Estate team you will manage a varied portfolio of commercial property matters and support senior colleagues from inception to completion. You will contribute to business development and nurture client relationships while collaborating across firm disciplines. The role supports growth of a national team known for pragmatic, commercially-focused advice. You will also mentor junior lawyers and work across multiple locations to deliver coordinated outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial real estate matters (acquisitions/disposals, development, landlord and tenant, asset management, investment transactions)
- Support senior team members from inception through to completion, delivering efficient and commercial outcomes
- Assist with business development and opportunities to strengthen client relationships and win new work
- Collaborate with colleagues across Planning, Construction, Banking and Tax for integrated client advice
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers to build technical knowledge and commercial understanding
Key requirements
- Around 4+ years' PQE in Commercial Property or Real Estate
- Strong technical experience across a broad range of commercial real estate matters, ideally including development
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Genuine interest in business development and growing client/referrer relationships
- Strong organisational and project management skills
