Our Team: The Family team is one of the UK\’s leading family law teams, accredited by independent legal guides Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, with decades of experience dealing with a range of family issues. The Family team is ranked as Tier 1 and handles a number of interesting and challenging cases, from high court judgements for high net‑worth and high‑profile clients to dealing with the financial aspects of relationship breakdown.

Your Role

If you enjoy being part of a successful, friendly and high‑performing team, then this is the job for you. You’ll be a key point of contact for our clients, many of whom are going through challenging personal circumstances. This is a busy and fast‑paced role, so you’ll need to be able to work quickly and accurately, building strong relationships with your team and our clients. There’s lots of room for progression and we’d really like to support you in your professional development. We have a dedicated national team located in several of our offices.

Responsibilities

  • Take instructions from clients and assist with giving legal advice, including obtaining evidence and, where appropriate, finding appropriate resolutions for clients.
  • Achieve time‑recording and fee‑income targets to ensure profitable working.
  • Work closely with the fee‑earners across the National Team to make sure they have the right support at all times.
  • Ideally have previous family paralegal experience.
  • Ideally hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Work professionally and collaboratively.
  • Show empathy and compassion to help guide clients through challenging personal circumstances.
  • Adopt a friendly, enthusiastic and can‑do approach.
