Our team specialises in Court of Protection matters, supporting clients who manage affairs for others, individuals concerned about capacity, or those needing assistance with decision–making capacity.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

This is a busy and fast‑paced role, requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise effectively, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take instructions from clients and assist in delivering legal advice, including gathering evidence and progressing matters toward resolution.
  • Manage caseload tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and client care.
  • Achieve time recording and fee income targets to support profitable working.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, supporting delivery of team objectives.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legal developments and attend training to maintain best practice and technical knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, positive, and “can‑do” approach.
  • Empathy and compassion, with the ability to support clients in sensitive situations.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Court of Protection work.
  • Experience working with vulnerable clients or in sensitive legal areas.
  • Demonstrable interest in mental capacity law or related practice areas.
