Overview
In this role you will join Irwin Mitchell’s Group Actions Team in Sheffield, focusing on medical negligence and product liability. You will manage your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on high-profile litigation, contributing to landmark cases and better outcomes for clients. You work within a collaborative, expert team that handles complex, sensitive claims with a client-centered approach. The opportunity offers exposure to major group actions and a chance to influence strategic development in a leading clinical negligence practice.

Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of individual medical negligence and group action claims
- Support senior colleagues on high-profile, high-value litigation
- Assist on large-scale, high-profile litigation with partners
- Seek interim payments to support client rehabilitation and care needs
- Collaborate with experts, counsel, and other stakeholders to build strong cases
- Contribute to the team’s strategic development and knowledge sharing
- Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients from the outset
Key requirements
- 1-3 years PQE with a Medical Negligence background
- Some experience of group actions and/or product liability would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
