We are a national law firm with a local reach, specializing in asbestos and occupational disease cases. This role will be based in our Newcastle office, with three days per week in the office.
Your Role And What You’ll Be Doing
As a Paralegal, you’ll support Solicitors with their caseloads from the very beginning, giving you the chance to gain real, hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Take instructions from clients and assist with providing legal advice, including gathering evidence and supporting litigation where appropriate.
- Achieve time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
- Attend and contribute to team/practice area meetings, complying with directions and decisions to achieve team objectives.
- Keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice, attending training events to maintain legal knowledge and best practice.
Qualifications
- Ideally, some previous Paralegal experience within Personal Injury.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Asbestos and Occupational Disease work.
- Empathy and compassion to guide clients through challenging personal circumstances.
- A friendly, enthusiastic, and can-do approach.
- Confidence and comfortability in handling phone calls and providing clear, courteous communication.
- Ability to work well within a team, and a commitment to supporting colleagues with their caseload.
