Your Role And What You’ll Be Doing

Join our award‑winning Internal Communications team in a strategic role that spans colleague insight, experience, and engagement to ensure our activity is aligned, relevant and meets colleague and business need. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we connect brand, culture, and colleague voice into a unified and compelling narrative that drives meaningful action across the business, helping align our colleagues to deliver our exciting strategy over the coming years. This is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to be based at any of our Irwin Mitchell offices across England.

  • Protect and develop our Colleague Value Proposition (CVP) ensuring it remains insight‑led, strategically aligned, and consistently reflected across business activity.
  • Own and evolve our Colleague Experience Insight Framework, translating engagement data, feedback, and sentiment into clear strategic themes, working closely with our senior IC and HR colleagues to drive response and outcomes.
  • Inform strategic communication direction by identifying what matters most to colleagues and the organisation, using insight to inform prioritisation and focus.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape clear, credible, people focused communication and engagement approaches for complex and business‑critical initiatives.
  • Influence leadership messaging and coach colleagues to own their communications and engagement.
  • Represent Internal Communications in cross‑functional teams and working Groups, ensuring colleague voice, insight, and internal communications perspective inform wider business decisions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our internal communication function and HR department.

A proven track record in strategic internal communications, operating with credibility and confidence at senior levels. Strong strategic thinking and narrative development skills, with the ability to distil complex insight into clear direction and focused action. Deep understanding of colleague experience, engagement, and brand alignment, and how insight should inform decision‑making. Demonstrable experience of translating data and insight into practical, prioritised communication strategies. Confidence in influencing, coaching, and constructively challenging senior stakeholders. Strong judgement, attention to detail, and a clear commitment to clarity, precision, and high‑quality delivery. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on what will have the greatest impact.
