You’ll be joining a highly respected leader in our Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners ranked Bristol Clinical Negligence team. Julie is Irwin Mitchell’s Regional Head for the South and Head of the Bristol Medical Negligence team. She is renowned for her deep expertise in complex and high-value clinical negligence claims, particularly those involving birth injuries, delayed diagnoses (including meningitis), fatal claims, and inquests.
As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives. You’ll be involved in:
- Managing your own caseload, including litigated matters, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Assisting senior colleagues on high-value and complex claims across a wide range of medical disciplines.
- Delivering consistently accurate and compassionate legal advice, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their journey.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless and high-quality service.
We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with genuine empathy:
- 3+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence, with a strong background in Claimant work.
- Proven experience managing your own caseload, including litigated claims.
- The ability to take instructions from clients and give sound legal advice.
- Demonstrable experience assisting seniors across high-value complex cases.
- The ability to operate independently and work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
