Your role will involve but is not limited to:
- Speaking to new/potential clients and taking details of their claim.
- Taking instructions from clients and assisting with the giving of legal advice, including obtaining evidence and, where appropriate, assisting with litigation, to achieve appropriate resolutions for the clients.
- Liaising with medical experts, organising and attending multi‑disciplinary conferences.
- Working with counsel, preparing for and attending court hearings.
- Obtaining key medical evidence, including medical records; achieving time‑recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
- Supporting case handlers generally in the running of the cases.
- Attending and contributing to team/practice area meetings and complying with directions/decisions made to ensure team objectives achieved.
- Keeping up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attending appropriate training events to ensure up‑to‑date legal knowledge and best practice.
- Involvement in business development and charity events.
- Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances.
- Organised and proactive with high standards of workload and diary management.
- A friendly, enthusiastic and can‑do approach.
