We have got a fantastic opportunity for a Medico Legal Records (MLR) Nurse to join our MLR team. We are recruiting for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Sort, index, pagination of digital medical records for Personal Injury clients.
- Preparation of a medical chronology and radiology schedule.
- Identification of crucial missing records.
- Interpret abbreviations, handwriting and medical terminology where required.
35 hours per week (with the ability to work these flexibly and from home).
About You:
- A minimum of 10 years clinical experience is required.
- Band 6 minimum in a clinical position.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in Nursing or Midwifery.
- If education or experience is particularly specialised, must be able to demonstrate versatility in other clinical areas.
- Excellent IT literacy – previous use of Microsoft programmes and Adobe necessary.
- Flexible to changes in procedure and IT.
- An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Clinical experience in the following areas – Theatre, Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Practice Nursing / Community Nursing (desirable).
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Confidential and professional manner.
- High standards of personal presentation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Work on own initiative.
- Able comfortably to liaise with a range of people.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to cope under pressure.
