Overview
In this role you will join Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham Private Client Dispute Resolution team to handle high-value, contentious private client disputes. You will work on complex matters across the UK and contribute to a nationally recognised practice. You’ll advise on probate, trust and estate disputes, with opportunities to grow your expertise alongside experienced specialists. This is a chance to impact clients directly while working in a collaborative, supportive culture.

Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of contentious private client matters
- Handle inheritance act claims, challenges to wills, and trust disputes
- Manage estate administration disputes and Court of Protection-related issues
- Address other complex private client disputes as they arise
- Collaborate with senior specialists to develop expertise and contribute to team growth
Key requirements
- Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales
- Experience advising on contentious probate, trust and estate disputes
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and provide high-quality advice
- Strong client relationship skills with clear, practical communication
- Effective negotiation, dispute resolution and case management skills
