Our Public Law & Human Rights team in Sheffield is recruiting a paralegal to support complex public law work in areas such as judicial review, civil liberties, education, social care, healthcare, mental capacity, and Court of Protection matters.

About You

  • Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Preferably, but not essential, have paralegal or public law experience, particularly within the above areas.
  • Excellent client care skills and a sensitive, sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills for thorough documentation.
  • IT literate and highly detail‑oriented.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Basic understanding of legal aid systems.
  • Willing to work in our Sheffield office and travel to visit clients when required.
  • Prepared to undertake a case‑work focused role in a fast‑paced team, assisting the solicitor or legal executive with conduct of the case.
