Your Role and What You’ll Be Doing
We have got a fantastic opportunity for a Medico Legal Records (MLR) Nurse to join our MLR team. This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working remotely from home. The main responsibilities will include:
- Sort, index, pagination of digital medical records for Personal Injury clients.
- Preparation of a medical chronology and radiology schedule.
- Identification of crucial missing records.
- Interpret abbreviations, handwriting and medical terminology where required.
35 hours per week (with the ability to work these flexibly and from home).
Qualifications & About You
As our ideal candidate for this role, you’ll have:
- A minimum of 10 years clinical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a Band 6 minimum clinical position.
- Confidence and competence in using a range of technology tools, including AI‑powered systems, to support efficient and effective working.
- A degree or equivalent, in Nursing or Midwifery.
- Versatility in other clinical areas if education or experience is particularly specialised.
- Excellent IT literacy – previous use of Microsoft programmes and Adobe necessary.
- An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Clinical experience in the following areas – Theatre, Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Practice Nursing/Community Nursing.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- A confidential and professional manner.
- High standards of personal presentation.
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
- The ability to comfortably liaise with a range of people.
- Excellent attendance record.
- The ability to cope under pressure.
