IT Service Risk Analyst – Technology Risk
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive IT Service Risk Analyst to join our Technology Risk team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and managing IT risk logs across the CIO function. You’ll work closely with technical teams to understand and translate complex risks into clearly documented events, ensuring effective mitigation and reporting.
You’ll also support internal and external audits, manage KPIs, and maintain accurate data within the IT Enterprise Catalogue. This is a highly collaborative role that involves preparing reports for senior leadership and guiding colleagues on risk management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Technology Risk Management Log across the business area.
- Keep risk incidents up to date and investigate potential updates to existing risks.
- Collaborate with Risk Champions and Heads of Department to assess and mitigate risks.
- Support audit tracking and reporting, ensuring timely action planning and resolution.
- Analyse data to identify trends and measure performance against KPIs.
- Prepare risk reports and insights for senior stakeholders and group-wide committees.
- Ensure resilience and disaster recovery information is accurately maintained.
About You
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, understanding their language and translating technical risks into clearly logged risk events.
- Proven experience in logging, tracking, and managing IT risk events.
- Comfortable working with data and numbers, with solid Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Confident in leading meetings and delivering Technology Risk presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with audit management processes and a good understanding of financial principles.
- Experience using risk management tools and frameworks (e.g., Risk Registers, RCSA, Risk Appetite).
- Previous experience in legal or financial services environments.
