Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

The Employment team in Birmingham advises clients on a range of complex matters, including redundancies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, TUPE, absence management, and Settlement Agreements. The team also represents clients in Employment Tribunal claims and higher court proceedings.

Working in our Employment team is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in challenging and complex cases, whilst learning from the very best. Working as a Paralegal, you’ll support the team on all aspects of our work.You’ll need to have the confidence to deal with matters right from the very beginning, being both approachable as well as efficient to resolve matters as quickly as possible for our clients. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, integrity, and impact.

About You

  • Experience of working in a legal environment, such as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar legal support role.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to build professional working relationships and provide a high standard of client service.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including maintaining accurate records and case documentation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Previous paralegal experience managing files or supporting fee earners on employment law matters.
  • Experience of employment law, or litigation matters.
  • Experience liaising directly with clients and other external stakeholders.
  • Experience drafting legal documents, correspondence, or court/tribunal documentation.
